Join the Ride and Marketplace Gives Back
These programs benefit the American Bus Association Foundation and low income/philanthropic groups selected by the Virginia Beach CVB who would not ordinarily have the means to take these field trips.
Join the Ride : Benefits the American Bus Association Foundation
If you are bringing a motorcoach to Virginia Beach and can offer seats or cargo space to delegates along your route we can help.
Join the Ride Basics
- Bus Operators bringing motorcoaches to Marketplace can sell seats and cargo space to support the American Bus Association Foundation and help defray operating costs for the coach.
- Delegates will pay $125 per seat to Join the Ride. ($100 to the operator for operating costs, $25 to the American Bus Association Foundation - once operating costs have been met $125 to the American Bus Association Foundation)
- Cargo space may also be purchased upon availability
- $100 for large display ($25 to the American Bus Association Foundation)
- $50 for small display ($10 to the American Bus Association Foundation)
Join the Ride Program Step By Step
- Determine the number of coaches you will bring to Marketplace, pick up locations, date of your arrival and date of your departure.
- Email Vicki Osman at vosman@buses.org with the following information:
- Number of coaches participating in Join the Ride
- Date of arrival
- Date of departure
- Area(s) of pick-up locations so we can send Excel listing of registered delegates
- ABA will provide you with a list of Marketplace delegates from the area(s) of your choice including email addresses and mailing addresses.
- Send information regarding your trip to the delegates of your choice.
- Process your reservations though your own system.
- After Marketplace send contribution to the American Bus Association Foundation.

Marketplace Gives Back: Benefits the Virginia Beach Community
If you are bringing a motorcoach to Virginia Beach, please consider donating its use throughout the week for school and other community field trips (low income and philanthropic groups selected by the Virginia Beach CVB who would not ordinarliy have the means to take these field trips).
Marketplace Gives Back Basics
- Bus Operators bringing motorcoaches to Marketplace donate the use of their coach(es) and driver(s) to provide transportation to Virginia Beach area locations for school and community groups.
Marketplace Gives Back Step By Step
- Determine number of coaches, dates and times of driver availability of coaches participating in Marketplace Gives Back.
- Virginia Beach CVB will match your coach's availability to school/community group. Send Vicki Osman the name of your driver(s) at vosman@buses.org so that they may be registered as a complimentary operator at Marketplace, giving the driver access to all Marketplace events and meal functions at no charge to your company.
- We can help secure inexpensive rooms for your drivers while they are staying in the VA Beach area.
- The Virginia Beach CVB will provide you with an itinerary of trips for your company prior to Marketplace.
