Host Area Committee (HAC)The Marketplace 2010 HAC is responsible to organize, guide and direct to ensure a successful Marketplace for all delegates. The HAC consists of a variety of subcommittees which focus on each aspect of the delegate experience. The following are the subcommittee descriptions, members, and meeting dates. Dine Around Committee: Ensure that delegates have a great “night on the town” on their own. Evening Events Committee: Provide fun and entertaining events for delegates that highlight unique venues in your city. FAM Committee: Develop familiarization tours that highlight the city/region/state that is hosting Marketplace. Publicity/Public Relation Committee: Raise and maintain public awareness of the convention and its economic impact to the region during Marketplace and also in the future. Sightseeing Committee: Create tours that appeal to a wide variety of delegate interests and showcase your region. Sponsorship Committee: To raise money and in-kind donations to offset the cost of hosting Marketplace. Transportation Comittee: Provide delegates with complimentary transportation to all events and venues during Marketplace week. Volunteer/Hospitality/Education Committee: Guarantee that the host city presents a positive, friendly image during Marketplace week. Welcoming Committee: Welcome delegates into the city and make them feel that you are truly glad they are there.
